Bethany Stevens, a mother of two and science teacher at Cookeville High School in Cookeville, Tennessee who has twice been named Teacher of the Year, has completed her new book “Rattlesnake Cake: The Adventures of Buttercup”: a charming and lighthearted tale about an unusual rattlesnake who crashes a young girl’s birthday party and makes an unlikely friend.
According to Stevens, “A lot of readers will see parts of themselves in Buttercup. She’s a bit of a misfit among the other rattlesnakes and doesn’t do the “usual” things that rattlesnakes do but embraces her differences only to find that sometimes, it’s (our) differences that attract others to (us) and that (we) can make friends in the most unlikely places.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Bethany Stevens’s charming tale will inspire anyone who has ever felt like an outsider to embrace the things that make them truly unique.
Readers who wish to experience this whimsical work can purchase“Rattlesnake Cake: The Adventures of Buttercup” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Kobo, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
