“We are thrilled to expand into Santa Clarita, and bring national headlining entertainment to the SC Valley” – Lance Sterling

Sterling Venue Ventures, LLC (SVV), the Agoura Hills, CA-based operator of concert venues throughout Southern California, is proud to announce their latest venue, The Canyon – Santa Clarita. This brand new and exciting entertainment option will bring Good Food, Good Music, Good Friends and Great Times to the Santa Clarita Valley this fall. The Canyon – Santa Clarita is the company’s fifth premier venue and SVV is excited to bring their winning experience comprising full dinner service, entertainment by nationally-acclaimed acts to the area, allowing bigger-name music artists to perform in the Santa Clarita Valley for the first time in years. SVV’s owner and founder Lance Sterling brings an independent, “corporate refugee” spirit to his venues, taking on larger booking and promotional companies’ monopolistic business practices that have contributed to the entertainment drought in areas of Southern California outside of the Los Angeles metro district. The company’s independent spirit along with their growing network of locations breaks these monopolies allowing SVV to bring convenient entertainment across the region.
The Canyon – Santa Clarita’s location at Westfield Valencia Town Center is being completely revamped with new professional concert lighting, a state-of-the art sound system, projection screens airing videos, and an intimate setting to see your favorite bands and comedians.
Similar to the company’s venue in Pasadena, The Rose, The Canyon – Santa Clarita will feature a CaliBurger outlet, bar, VIP lounge, and an upscale but moderately priced dinner service in a space that will comfortably house around 1,100 guests. SVV takes pride in their menu that is influenced by world-renowned restaurateurs, and their incorporation of technology into the ordering and dining experience. The company has recently started a pilot program where patrons can send a text to have drinks quickly delivered directly to their table and hopes to expand this program to The Canyon – Santa Clarita.
Additionally, the venue will host weekly themed events such as their Soulful Sunday Brunch and a Wednesday Country music night called “County Girls Shake It,” as well as numerous special events from holiday parties to weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, corporate events, fundraisers for local children’s groups and area schools, and even more. The independent spirit of SVV is also seen in the company’s support of local music, allowing up to two local openers for each national touring act that will perform at SVV venues. Members from acts such as Audioslave, Panic! At the Disco, and Imagine Dragons have cut their teeth on SVV’s stages through this unique local opener program.
Lance Sterling notes, “We are thrilled to expand into Santa Clarita, and bring national headlining entertainment to the SC Valley. As a music fan and a family man, I love that we can give couples the opportunity to have a date night to enjoy a nice dinner and see world class entertainment without having to drive all the way downtown or even further. We also look forward to playing an integral role in the community by hosting fundraisers and special events for local concerns. It’s all about ‘where music meets the soul,’ and now that’s right here in Santa Clarita! On behalf of our family and our entire team at the Canyon, We are so honored to be accepted into your community of Santa Clarita and hope to earn a place as a hometown part of your family here in this amazing community that you guys call home.”
