The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Vicki Edge as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Vicki into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Vicki Edge enjoyed a highly successful career in the corporate arena for more than 30 years. No matter what position she held—human resources, IT or training—she was always the one people turned to for support and direction. “One day, I woke up and found that I had been living my life in default. All my opportunities and challenges had come into my path from other people—NOT ME,” she recalled. “I had not actively participated by intent or by design in the direction my life and my career were headed.”
Ms. Edge realized she could better use her talents by being a Coach and, in 2009, she became certified. At Victoria’s Edge, she works primarily with professional women, Ms. Edge coaches those women who want to reach for the next level in their careers, and those who seek to be the best leaders they can be.
“My primary skills are making difficult concepts easy to apply, listening and hearing my clients, and being able to see situations and ideas from a variety of perspectives,” said Ms. Edge. “I teach my clients how to become visible, how to shine, inspire and step up. Using coaching, training, personal development, and a profound interest in my clients’ needs, intentions, motivations and resistance, I can help them navigate the ups, downs and side-ways of their journey to career happiness.”
Rewarded when her clients “feel the pride of having reached their dreams,” Ms. Edge welcomes the challenge of helping others achieve their goals. She is currently working on a book about women’s leadership skills and taking on more speaking engagements. “I also want to expand the work I do with the nonprofit organization Dress For Success-Atlanta, which helps women dress for confidence and teaches them the skills they need to land jobs,” she added.
