National Association of Professional Women Inducts Mitzi Bowe, Owner/Rehabilitation Assistant at Sammy’s House, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Mitzi Bowe as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

“I’m pleased to welcome Mitzi into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”

Mitzi Bowe works as a Rehabilitation Assistant at Children’s Rehabilitation Services, a state agency that helps special needs children with their medical needs. In addition to helping with administrative tasks such as patient insurance and scheduling, she works with and assists an audiologist, a nutritionist and a speech therapist.

Recently, Ms. Bowe’s work at the agency has inspired her to branch out on her own to do even more to help these children and their families. “The most important part of my job is the welfare and well-being of the children, which is why I have founded Sammy’s House, a nonprofit organization and center for families with special needs,” she said. “It is a place where families can utilize our resources, programs and events to celebrate accomplishments and inspire success.”
