This solution has multiple elements, the first of which is a seamless integration between MyRegistry.com’s universal gift registry solution and the IBM Websphere Commerce platform. IBM Websphere Commerce provides a powerful customer interaction platform for cross-channel commerce. It can be used by companies of all sizes, from small businesses, to large enterprises, and for many different industries.

The scalable, customizable gift registry solution offered by MyRegistry.com is currently being used by more than 300 retailers— all of whom want to give their customers the convenience of a gift registry service that can be accessed both in the retailer’s own location as well as on MyRegistry.com. The solution also includes access to analytics and reporting about gift registry activity that can be used to plan future marketing initiatives.

Also, MyRegistry.com has integrated with IBM’s in-store retail platform, Sterling Order Management, for a seamless, omnichannel experience. IBM Sterling Order Management enables retailers to make more informed decisions about how to promise and fulfill customer orders, in an effort to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.

Cognos is IBM’s next generation business intelligence tool. It allows users to find precise and timely answers from their data and use automated alerts to monitor changes to key findings so they can confidently and quickly take actions to help improve their business. When it becomes available, the Cognos solution can be added to the MyRegistry.com dashboard for a nominal additional fee.

The potential also exists for registry users to harness the power of Watson, IBM’s supercomputer capable of augmenting human intelligence, to help improve retailer operations so businesses can focus on driving higher value results.
