Every year, Dealer Rater’s Dealer of the Year Award program recognizes a select number of car dealerships in the US and Canada. The award is meant to recognize dealerships for outstanding customer service. Locally, this award has gone to Mercedes-Benz of Baton Rouge. Mercedes-Benz of Baton Rouge has won the Dealer of the Year award for 3 years in a row.
Dealer Rater awards each dealership a Power Score based on customer reviews as posted on the Dealer Rater website. Dealers who have the highest Power Rating ™ in their brand category, both at national levels and at state or provincial levels, are eligible to win the award. To be considered for a Dealer of the Year award the dealership must also receive a minimum of 25 reviews on Dealer Rater for the calendar year, receive an average minimum star rating of 4 out of 5 on Dealer Rater, and receive at least one new review on Dealer Rater per quarter. They must not be a blacklisted dealership.
Dealer Rater calculates each dealer’s Power Rating™ with the help of a Bayesian algorithm which considers both the dealership’s star rating and the number of reviews customers have written about the dealership during the calendar year.
Dealer Rater has run the Dealer of the Year Award program since 2009. They’ve also expanded the program to include the Dealer Rater Customer Satisfaction Awards. Customer Satisfaction award winners must meet all the requirements from the Dealer of the Year program, as well as three others: they must also be one of the top 10% US franchise dealers based on their Power Score, one of the top 10% used car dealerships in the US or one of the top 10% car dealerships in Canada.
Current Dealer of the Year recipients are also eligible to receive the Consumer Satisfaction Award.
Mercedes-Benz of Baton Rouge also won a Consumer Satisfaction Award for the past three years. “Our customers are critical.
