Lisa Walker, a resident of Florida who has two children, has completed her new book “Ambushed”: an absorbing story about Jericho Nash—whose chance encounter with a stunning beauty changes the course of his life—and the darker path he has to take with an unlikely ally in seeking justice.
Author Walker writes on a crime victim’s frustration over a system: “As soon as Jericho was given his release papers and aftercare instructions, he called a friend and was given a ride home. He made two phone calls, one to Master Card and the other to American Express. He cancelled both cards, even though his gut told him it was too late. This person had two days to go on a monster shopping spree. He told both customer service reps what had happened to him on Friday night and whatever charges were incurred after his cards were stolen were not his. However, he talked to these people with his eyes closed. He didn’t come away with a good feeling after talking to these people. Because nothing was said. The pipe dream he had of hearing, ‘Oh, don’t worry. You won’t have to pay those charges,’ crashed and burned quickly upon hearing crickets on the other end of the phone. He knew it didn’t matter to these people. He knew he would still be responsible for those charges.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Lisa Walker’s remarkable story tells of the plight of Jericho Nash as he goes on a quest for justice with a partner willing to help him in his mission. This page-turner also shows how some investigating officers and others respond to crime cases.
