Infocast’s 3rd New York Energy Revolution Summit, set for August 1-3, 2017 in New York, will bring together utility, distributed energy resource (DER) providers, renewable energy, storage and other stakeholders to discuss how to create workable development processes and viable projects.
The focus for 2017 is squarely on the implementation of both the New York REV and the new Clean Energy Standard (CES).
With the recent value of D and the DSIP rulemakings, and roll out of CES procurement plans and rate-making orders expected over the next few months, the New York energy market is poised for growth. However, the market transformation can only be sustained through a delicate balance of market participants retaining their utility shareholder value while also creating economic ROI.
The long list of New York Energy REVolution participants include NYISO, NYSERDA, SUNRUN, Comverge, Con Edison, NRG Energy and STEM.
Topics to be covered at the summit include the new tariff mechanisms and their role in defining value stacks for DERs, best practices in creating and conveying locational values in distribution operations and integration of storage and other distributed assets.
Additionally, the summit will include leading policymakers and energy executives, including Senator Kevin S. Parker from the New York State 21st Senate District, John Williams from NYSERDA, Jill C. Anderson from NYPA and Michael DeSocio from NYISO.
