Focusing on Capital Markets, Lee Ann Anderson Joins Greenberg Traurig’s Corporate and Finance Practices

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has expanded its robust, global Corporate Practice of more than 450 attorneys with the addition of highly regarded capital markets practitioner Lee Ann Anderson as a shareholder in the firm’s Washington, D.C. and New York offices. Anderson will also be a member of the firm’s Capital Markets and Finance Practices. She joins from Ashurst and was previously with Sullivan & Cromwell.

Anderson focuses her practice on public and private securities offerings and derivatives transactions, including debt and equity offerings and structured note programs. In addition to advising on traditional debt and equity securities, she counsels issuers and investment banks on structured notes and certificates of deposits, including rates, commodities, equity, and proprietary index-linked products. Anderson also has wide-ranging experience advising issuers and underwriters on securitizations and other complex structured finance transactions.

She brings considerable capital markets and finance experience that we will utilize to further our existing capabilities to meet our clients’ complex business needs in the United States, the UK, and beyond,” said Alan I. Annex, co-chair of the firm’s global Corporate Practice, resident in the firm’s New York office.

Anderson has deep experience counseling clients on corporate transactions, including mergers, stock purchases, asset sales, joint ventures, and other reorganization transactions. She also provides a range of general corporate, securities, and governance advice.

Notably, Anderson’s clients have included Credit Suisse, JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, and Wells Fargo.

Anderson has a strong commitment to pro bono work and served as an office pro bono coordinator at a previous firm.

Anderson received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she a distinguished member of the Order of the Coif and Order of the Wig and Rob, and held the position of Associate Editor-in-Chief of the South Carolina Law Review. She received her B.A., cum laude, from Wellesley College.
