The new location at 160 Madison Avenue sits in the heart of Midtown Manhattan’s world-famous design district and will feature BoConcept’s differentiated designs for both home and office, including elements from world-renowned designers like Oki Sato, Henrik Pedersen and Karim Rashid.
The new location will also host a grand opening celebration on January 18 featuring top BoConcept leadership from around the world and an appearance by Karim, who will speak about the inspirations behind his designs and showcase his groundbreaking work for the brand.
The new flagship also continues the brand’s aggressive push for new market share across the U.S. BoConcept has innovated in the global Scandinavian furniture revolution since its founding in 1952 and the brand’s arrival on the world stage of fashion and design in Manhattan further builds on dominance created in markets across Europe and Asia, opening the door for new multi-unit franchise partnerships in the competitive U.S. market.

The new Madison Avenue location follows the launch of a successful “popup” store in late summer in New York City’s trendy SoHo neighborhood that helped build added anticipation about the Midtown Manhattan opening. It will feature more of the popular designs showcased in the SoHo popup store and will include contemporary, flexible furniture options for both home and office. Elements from world-renowned designers will be featured even more prominently in the new location on Madison Avenue, presenting a fresh new, modern, yet functional option for the urban-minded homeowner.
The Madison Avenue location will be managed by Ben Paciello, a veteran furniture retail manager who has worked with brands like Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Armani and Oprah Winfrey’s “The Oprah Store” who also served as General Manager of the SoHo popup location.
