As 2017 comes to a close, the Giftster year-round family gift registry service saw more than 33% growth in usage in 2017 over 2016, the 8th year in a row of growth. The holidays are a big driver, but increasingly we see use for birthdays and other occasions.
A glance at the tens of thousands of new lists created in the past 90 days shows about 25% are clearly for birthdays with “birthday” in the list title. Is it Greedy to Make a Birthday Registry?
At first glance, the idea of creating a “what I want for my birthday” list sounds like something right out of a Madonna “Material Girl” lyric…a selfish focus on “me.”
