“The Death of a Marriage: A Lesson in Love” is the creation of published author, EJ Powell, a licensed minister and a member of One Love Restoration Ministries in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Powell shares, “Moving forward and putting everything behind me was the hardest thing to do next to forgiving my husband for the second time. I couldn’t afford to live in the past and grovel in my own misery. I had two little boys and a beautiful little girl who needed me to be strong and stable for their sake. So, I had to pick myself back up again and start over. We were going to have to take this one step at a time, moment by moment. I couldn’t worry about tomorrow anymore. I just had to live for today. I had to really focus on making our marriage better and “affair proof.” More tears would have to be shed before this was all over and total healing had taken place. But my God is a healer. He is the best surgeon in town. He is the only one I know who can take something dead and bring it back to life.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, EJ Powell’s new book is a realistic and honest account on the difficulty of accepting a life partner’s infidelity, choosing to continue forgiving someone who keeps on causing pain, trusting God in providing wisdom and healing, and saving a rocky marriage.
Infidelity is one of the main problems in marriage life, and even Christians around the world find it a familiar sin. Powell, a faithful Christian herself, offers words of hope and wisdom for married people who have the same struggles as hers when it comes to forgiving and moving forward.
